Hotel information: We have been reserving a TMRS block of rooms at the University Doubletree and Sheraton Austin hotels for these courses (for budgeting purposes, the cost for the hotel ranges between $110 and $190 per night). We will post a map and detailed hotel info in late August.
Regional Pre-Retirement Conferences
These are free one- or two-day events designed to help employees better understand their TMRS benefits and make plans for their retirement. The programs combine TMRS speakers with experts in Social Security benefits and financial planning. They are especially useful for members eligible for or considering retirement. TMRS provides lunch.
Regional Funding Workshops
Funding workshops are designed for city finance personnel, to keep them informed of TMRS changes and plan funding options.
