To access the MyTMRS website, you must first register to set up your user name, password, and e-mail address. You will also need to provide several challenge questions and answers.
After you register, you will be able access MyTMRS by entering your username and password on the MyTMRS sign in page. The sign in process will automatically determine the membership and/or payee account(s) to which you have access, and will display a list. You can choose from this list which information you wish to display.
Some items appearing on the list may not be selectable. This is because MyTMRS limits internet access to account information under the following circumstances:
If you need information about an account that cannot be accessed with MyTMRS, contact TMRS at 800-924-8677 for further assistance.
Once logged on, you can change your password to any combination of 8-20 numbers, lower-case letters, or upper-case letters. The only special characters that are allowed are the period ( . ), underline ( _ ), dash ( - ), and ampersand ( & ). Your password must contain at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number. Dinner2nite, coffee4U, 4me2know are examples of properly constructed passwords. Your password should be known only to you.
The MyTMRS site is navigated primarily by using the pulldown menu at the top of the page. Only those items appropriate to your logon will be available in the navigation bar.
After signing in, choose Retirement Estimate from the pulldown menu. Click on the “Request new estimate” link and enter a future retirement date. An estimate will then be displayed showing the various annuity and PLSD options. You can run as many estimates as you wish, for any month after your retirement eligibility date. You will also be able to redisplay the last 10 estimates you have run for yourself during the past 60 days.
You should log off MyTMRS by clicking the Log Off link in the pulldown menu when you are through accessing your information. Logging off ensures your privacy.
If you forget your password, you must establish a new one. Click on the Forgot My Password link on the sign in page. You will be asked to provide your user name and Social Security number. From there you will go to a screen where you answer a challenge question. After you correctly answer the question, will receive an e-mail from TMRS with a link to set up a new password.
If you forget your user name, you can get confirmation of your user name via e-mail from TMRS. Click on the Forgot My User Name link on the sign in page. After providing several account identifiers, you will go to a screen asking you to answer a challenge question. After you correctly answer the question, your user name is sent to the e-mail address you provided at registration.
