The new MyTMRS includes an interactive dashboard where Members can visualize their account growth over time and see the city’s investment into their TMRS account.
An updated Retirement Estimate Calculator also provides Members with new customized options to project their future TMRS retirement benefit.

TMRS Welcomes Two New Cities
TMRS is excited to welcome the cities of Santa Anna (left) and China (right), who began participating in TMRS on May 1.
With these two additions, there are now 942 TMRS participating cities.
Lean Six Sigma Success
In furtherance of TMRS’ commitment to efficiency and process improvement, TMRS participated in Lean Six Sigma training and certification programs. Twenty-five TMRS employees enrolled, including six Leadership team members (left) who achieved the Green Belt Certification and 17 Benefit Administration staff members who achieved the White Belt Certification.
Each staff member demonstrated their expertise by identifying a current process and improving it by using Lean Six Sigma principles. Staff also used the Lean Six Sigma methodologies to develop more than 100 standard operating procedures allowing for improved efficiencies in benefit processing.
Investment Leaders Named The Next Elite
Deputy Chief Investment Officer Tom Masthay (left) and Senior Director of Global Equities Frank Atkins (right) were recognized as “The Next Elite” by Markets Group. The Next Elite honors Deputy Chief Investment Officers and Senior Investment Officers who demonstrate the leadership, strategic insight, and innovation needed to step into the CIO role.
TMRS Receives GFOA Financial Reporting Award
For the 37th consecutive year, TMRS’ Annual Comprehensive Financial Report received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
2024 Member Account Statements Are Now Available
Member Account Statements are now available on MyTMRS, and the Statements will be mailed to Members beginning March 31.
The Statement provides active Members with important TMRS information, including account balance, 2024 contributions, service history, city plan information, monthly benefit estimates, and current beneficiary information.

Texas Senate Confirms TMRS Trustee Appointments
On March 12, the Texas Senate confirmed the appointment of (pictured left to right) Tommy Gonzalez, City of Midland City Manager, Tricia Mirabelle, City of Pflugerville Police Department Commander and Jim Parrish City of McKinney Human Resources and Risk Management Director to the Board of Trustees.
