Road to Retirement
These in‑person seminars for city employees provide a step‑by‑step overview of the TMRS retirement process, and offer a chance to meet directly with TMRS Education staff, ask questions, and leave with clarity about your retirement journey. Seminars are held regionally, with dates and locations linked below. TMRS will notify employees by email when a seminar is available in their region.
City Certification
TMRS offers the City Certification at locations across Texas, giving city administrators the knowledge and confidence to expertly support employees with their TMRS benefits. This hands‑on training covers the essentials of the TMRS plan, city responsibilities, enrollment and reporting best practices, and real‑world guidance for assisting employees with retirement questions. Participants who complete the course and pass the certification exam will earn the title of Certified TMRS Benefit Administrator.
