Darren Schlissel serves as the Senior Director of Fixed Income for TMRS. Previously, he worked as the Senior Director and Head of Global Investments for PayPal, a publicly listed fortune 500 company where he led the teams managing $35bn global fixed income, cash, and impact investment portfolios.
Prior to PayPal, Darren spent 13 years in a variety of fixed income and structured finance roles at Ares, Guggenheim, and Deutsche Bank in New York.
Darren earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Cornell University and is a CFA charter holder.

What should GPs know about you?
My wife and daughter and I migrated to Texas in 2020 to be closer to family, and escape life in the big city. Austin has fantastic outdoor dining and lots of nature that we do our best to enjoy with our toddler in the non-summer months, and at least in the summer there are plenty of fun pools!
