Jeffrey Batas serves as the Director of Investment Data and Operations. His oversight includes data, performance, risk, operations, and compliance functions within the Investment department.
Prior to joining TMRS, he helped build out the Middle Office team at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, focusing on investment book of record data quality and portfolio management services. He previously held positions at Dimensional Fund Advisors within Front Office Compliance and Middle Office outsource oversight.
Jeff began his career at State Street Corporation servicing PIMCO in various middle- and back-office roles. He has his MBA from Texas McCombs and an undergraduate degree in Mathematical Finance from San Diego State University.
